Lisa Cadeau is raising money for a great cause
I’m excited to show my support for Special Olympics BC by participating in the Vancouver Island Polar Plunge on February 22, 2026!
Special Olympics BC provides opportunities for those with intellectual disabilities to develop and discover confidence, joy, fulfillment, and friendships through year-round sport programs. In support of this cause I will be jumping into the ocean this February.
If you would like to show your support please consider making a donation through my fundraising page. I’ve included a link below.
Thank you for supporting this cause with me!

Rebecka Ibbotson of Children’s Health Foundation has invited us to do a group fundraiser
Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is a 100% donor-funded charity that supports Island kids with complex health challenges. Their programs reduce barriers to accessing health care – both in terms of cost and distance. The Foundation’s Homes Away From Home, Jeneece Place in Victoria and Q̓ʷalayu House in Campbell River, provide welcoming, low-cost accommodation for families to stay next to the hospital while their child receives care.
Their recently launched 365 Nights Campaign invites the local business community to help ensure these homes remain a lifeline for families in need. Individuals can also make a difference by joining forces with friends, colleagues, or family to collectively fund a week and make a meaningful impact this holiday season.
Corporate sponsors are recognized inside the homes, on the Foundation’s website, and through social media — but most importantly, you’ll know your support helps families focus on what matters most: their child’s well-being.
Learn more about this campaign: https://islandkidsfirst.com/365nights
If anyone would like to help to fund a one-week stay for a family at Jeneece Place, Brenda will accept e-transfers for the months of January and February. The group donation will be made in the name of the Brentwood Bay 5:05 Club. I (Brenda) suggest a donation of $40 but larger amounts are appreciated too. Please e-transfer to alan.brenda@shaw.ca and please ensure to include your name with the e-transfer so I know who to thank.
