Summer is not far away and Brentwood Bay Community Association’s Music in the Park will be starting up in July. Geoff Bate, one of our long-time members has challenged us to raise funds to sponsor one of the 7 Music In The Park nights…

Many of our 5:05 Club members are lucky enough to live in the Brentwood area and are big fans of the annual Music In The Park series that runs for 7 Wednesday evenings in July and August. It’s always a great turnout and is probably the most popular community event each year.

This year we thought it would be fun for Brentwood Bay 5:05 Club to be a “Title Sponsor” of one of the Music In The Park nights. It’s our way of supporting the community that gives us so much. And it would give us the opportunity to speak to the hundreds of folks who show up that week to hear the music and let them know about the 5:05 group and how they can get involved.

The goal is $2000 and I know we can do it! We currently have over 150 members on the email list for our 5:05 group, so if each of us give even a little, we can easily make it happen.

I’ll kick things off with a $50 pledge, and Geoff will pledge another $50. So, we’re already 5% of the way there!

This milestone event will bring thousands of residents and visitors together for a full day of music, activities and community connection—and we’re looking for local vendors, artists and community organizations to help bring the celebration to life. In addition to the main market and food truck areas, select artists may be featured along a forest walk in a unique outdoor display woven into the natural surroundings.
